Well I've finally got round to booking my first camping weekend of this year - I'm going to Eskdale in the Lake District, staying at the Camping and Caravanning Club site on the 9th and 10th of April. It will be my first visit to that area of the Lakes and also my first time on a C & CC site, so two new experiences in one weekend. I will also be meeting up with a couple of UKCS members - I've met one member and his wife before - so it promises to be a good weekend. The weather round here has been glorious just recently, so here's hoping for more of the same for my weekend.
I've been so busy at home just recently - work, dog walking, clearing out and repairing a property, more work, more clearing out, dog walking, more work and yet more clearing out - and some days I've been so tired I can quite literally fall asleep standing up, so I'm more than ready for a weekend away. Looks like the next job on the list is sorting out my camping stuff! Eskdale here I come!
Have a great time! Tenting, Camper or Caravan?

The site doesn't take caravans as the roads are too narrow to get them round, and it's not worth putting up the drive-away awning just for one night so I'll probably use the tent. Saying that though, if I pack both tent and awning I've got a choice - I'll see what mood I'm in when I get there!
